Failing to absorb anything might just mean that the thing you tried to absorb is an ability your monster already has. Every monster has multiple abilities you can absorb from it with some being more common or more rare. I think that usually means it tried to absorb something you already have, but I'm not 100% sure. It's hilarious to me that they added an NPC into the break room at the end of a case file that tries to explain this stuff, but just leaves everyone feeling way more confused. Everything I read online says that Fuse has eight different case files, so that suggests there's one for every protagonist and then Fuse's personal one. The game says that Fuse's final boss powers up with each other final boss you beat, so it might be that if you do at least one case file, then pick Fuse again, you get Fuse's "personal" case, maybe? And if you do all seven other characters first then it's maximum difficulty? That's the one thing I'm not 100% sure on. You can access the debug room after any Fuse playthrough, so you can have your dream team fight the debug room if you want.Īs for his final boss, I'm not 100% sure.
